Bespoke Talismans & Amulets

— Not jewelry. Instruments.

A properly wrought talisman is an object designed and consecrated to address a specific condition uncovered in a reading. Each is wrought to the individual case, using the herbal, metallic, and astrological correspondences proper to the working.

How a Talisman Is Made

  1. Diagnosis. A reading reveals the condition to be addressed.
  2. Prescription. The appropriate planetary force, herbs, metal, and form are determined.
  3. Election. The proper planetary hour and astrological moment are calculated.
  4. Working. The talisman is wrought and consecrated by ceremony at the elected hour.
  5. Delivery. The piece is delivered with a written guide to its care and use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you make or sell finished talismans and amulets?
No — and this is the most important thing to understand up front. I do not fabricate talismans or amulets. This is not a shop where you order a pre-made magical object, add it to cart, and wait for the mailman to deliver Jupiter in a padded envelope. I'm not a jeweler, metalsmith, engraver, or herbal-product maker. My role is advisory and ceremonial: I determine what kind of object is appropriate, which planetary or spiritual force it should carry, what materials, symbols, colors, herbs, stones, metals, and prayers are proper to the aim, and when and how it should be consecrated. You — or a craftsperson of your choosing — source or make the physical object; I provide the magical reasoning and the consecration. Because of that, most of this work can be done remotely by Zoom, phone, or email, with no strict geographic limits. For clients in New Jersey or nearby, in-person consultation or consecration may be possible depending on scheduling.
What is a talisman, and what is an amulet?
Both are spiritual objects, but they aren't the same thing. Very simply: a talisman attracts; an amulet protects. A talisman is made to draw something in — to attract, strengthen, or align you with a particular force, virtue, planet, or quality, such as confidence, clarity, prosperity, spiritual authority, creativity, or healing. An amulet is made to guard — to shield, repel, stabilize, or set a boundary around a person, home, business, or situation, for protection, cleansing, warding, safe travel, or peace in the home. There can be overlap; some objects both attract and protect. But the distinction matters, because the purpose determines the materials, symbols, timing, prayers, and ritual structure.
What does "bespoke" mean here?
It means the work is designed for the specific client, situation, and spiritual aim — not generic spiritual jewelry, but a properly reasoned magical object built around a single intention. A talisman for business confidence is not constructed like an amulet for protection in a new home. A Venus talisman for harmony is not a Mars amulet for defense or a Mercury talisman for communication. The object must match the work, and my role is to make sure the reasoning behind it is sound before anything is made or consecrated.
What might someone commission this guidance for?
Usually when you want spiritual support for a specific aim. Common talismanic aims include business success, confidence, authority, visibility, creativity, communication, study, devotion, prosperity, attraction, reconciliation, courage, or disciplined growth. Common amuletic aims include protection, spiritual cleansing, boundary-setting, peace in the home, safe travel, stability, relief from repeated conflict, or support after a space has been cleared. This work often follows a tarot reading, Hermetic Praxis Reading, banishing, or house clearing — sometimes a reading reveals you don't only need insight, but a symbolic remedy that keeps working with you after the session ends. The object becomes a point of focus, prayer, memory, and alignment.
What does it mean to consecrate an object at a planetary hour?
In the Western hermetic tradition, timing matters. The planets aren't treated only as bodies in the sky but as spiritual powers and organizing principles, each corresponding to certain virtues, materials, colors, herbs, metals, days, and hours. A planetary hour is a specific window associated with a planetary force — solar hours for confidence, visibility, authority, and vitality; Venusian for harmony, attraction, and reconciliation; Mercurial for communication, commerce, and skill. Consecrating an object in the proper hour times the ritual to harmonize it with the force it's meant to carry. Timing doesn't do all the work alone — intention, materials, symbols, prayer, and ritual structure all matter — but it's part of the alignment. You do not plant every seed in the same season and then act shocked when the garden has opinions.
What is the process from inquiry to finished object?
It begins with your aim. First we discuss what you're seeking and whether a talisman, amulet, or another form of support is even appropriate — not every situation needs an object; sometimes the right answer is prayer, cleansing, timing, or a different ritual. If an object is appropriate, I help determine its spiritual structure: the planetary force, correspondences, possible materials, colors, herbs, stones, metals, inscriptions, timing, and consecration method. You then obtain or commission the physical object yourself or through a maker. Once it exists, I advise on the proper consecration timing and ritual — which, depending on the situation, I may perform, perform with you present, or teach you to perform yourself. Timelines depend on the object's complexity, material availability, and the next appropriate planetary window. Some work can be prepared quickly; other work should not be rushed.
What are they actually made of, and what does the finished piece look like?
That depends on the purpose. A talisman or amulet can be made from metal, stone, wood, paper, parchment, cloth, herbs, resin, oil, ink, wax, thread, jewelry, coins, medals, engraved objects, or written prayers and sigils. The form doesn't need to be extravagant — a simple object properly chosen and consecrated is usually better than an expensive one with confused symbolism. Some pieces are worn (a pendant, ring, medal, or pouch), some carried privately (a folded paper, small bag, stone, or coin), and some kept in a home, office, altar, threshold, or business. The form follows the intention: a protective amulet for a home may never be worn, a communication talisman may sit near your desk, a confidence talisman may be worn during public-facing work.
How do I care for or "feed" a talisman once I have it?
With respect — it isn't decoration; it's an object that's been given a spiritual role. Care may include keeping it clean, storing it properly, handling it respectfully, praying with it, lighting a candle or offering incense near it, speaking the intention over it, carrying it during relevant situations, or reconnecting with it on the day or hour of its planetary force. Some talismans benefit from regular devotional attention; some amulets from occasional cleansing; some objects should stay private, and some should be retired once the work is complete. Exact instructions depend on the object. In general: if you treat a talisman like a dead trinket, don't be surprised if it behaves like one; if you treat it as a consecrated point of relationship, it has a living place in your practice.
Who is this work really for?
For someone who wants more than a generic charm or spiritual souvenir — an object built with intention, tradition, correspondence, timing, and ritual logic. Spiritual objects aren't made powerful because they look occult; they become meaningful through alignment. If you're looking for mass-produced magical jewelry, this isn't that. If you want guidance on creating or consecrating an object that actually corresponds to your need, this work may be right for you.
